Beware of Champix Side Effects

Smoking is out of the question one of the worst problems that may ever exist in this world. Unfortunately, there are countless people who smoke and they tend to get addicted to smoking a lot more easily than to stop it. Yet, there seems to be a relief quite recently.

This is Champix which is a piper drug meant to stop smoking. However, along with the use of Champix, there have been a large number of ex-smokers and smokers alike who happen to experience very horrible Champix side effects. Some side effects that people generally see due to the use of this particular drug — which is dubbed Chantix in the US — consist of vomiting, nausea, gas, constipation and even changes of dreams — though there was no specific description about how the dreams change. Yet, one of the worst Champix side effects is the emotional disorder.

As a matter of fact, there was a man who died because of the use of Champix. This man was a happy father and grandfather and he was about to get a second grandchild when he came to his death. It was very horrible and pathetic that this old man died hanging himself in the family garden shed. Just hours before, he was talking to his child and this old man was just as happy as he usually was. Who would have guessed he would die that way? As it turned out, after the old man started using Champix to quit smoking, he happened to experience headaches, vomiting and also disturbed sleeping though he did not say anything further about his disturbed sleep to the rest of the family members. This old man had recently did some real damages to his home as well and this was just something very unusual since this old man was very proud of his home.

Champix side effects also result in allergic reaction. Some Champix users experience hives, breathing difficulty, changes of the skin, severe rash and even swollen throat or face. Some experience changes in their mood that lead them to behave very unnaturally, just like the old man mentioned above. Some cannot even keep their eyes open during the day. Those with kidney disease are also advised against the use of this drug. The same goes for those who are pregnant. There are also some worries that Champix can even affect babies feeding from their mother breasts. And children are prohibited from the use of Champix.

It is also important to know some drugs that have the chances of interfering with Champix. These drugs include insulin, warfarin, cimetidine, theophylline and nicotine replacement therapy. This, however, does not mean that other drugs not mentioned here will not interfere with Champix and trigger Champix side effects. Also, in case any interference between Champix and other drugs take place, it is highly recommended that Champix users consult this immediately with their doctors. It is worth at all costs to keep away from Champix side effects since they can prove to be horribly serious and may even lead to death.
